I’m certainly not in the music business, but have had some experience with concerts/arenas and a bit of their inner workings. In my experience, they don’t have a recording of the shows. It’s typically all the bands equipment. They are controlling all of the show elements.

Hell, i know of at least one band that is so sensitive to this (Guns & Roses) that they don’t even allow the house to take an audio feed that they can play on their in house speakers (concourses, public areas, etc.) for fear their will be a recording out there they don’t control. They also cleared the house for sound check with their own security team. This included the arena’s security personnel. I was fortunate enough to find a spot to watch the sound check and it was pretty clear why they didn’t want anybody watching it.
    SOME VH LINKS CLASSICS

"Sammy is fat, Dave is bald, Mike is next in line to be the Pope, Eddie is a drunk, Wolfie is fat, Gary is gay, CVH is VH, Mike is VH, Sammy can outsing Dave on a tequilla hangover, Eddie is a meth head, How Many Say I is the worst VH song ever, Up for Breakfast is a close second, Dave was horrible at radio and everybody hates the assless chaps.

"I sense that some of our newer passengers may be nervous due to the sudden turbulence. Please be seated, this is simply a normal part of the periodic ride.
I didn't say we'll get to the destination, but until Alex comes out a says what a complete waste of carbon DLR is, we're still climbing, so strap yourselves in.

it's the video they played on the big video screen as the band played, I think it qualifies as a pro shot but if not I apologize, band seems to be getting along well at this show as opposed to others on that tour

The soundtrack with that video sounds like someone spent some time mixing it... it definitely didn't sound like a direct dump from the soundboard. Any details on the source and who did the post-production on it?

These pro shot videos from the venues are awesome, it would be amazing if someone posted the Fiddler's Green blizzard show footage from that '95 Balance tour.

I am willing to bet that there are literally hundreds of videos of all kinds of bands like this out there. I play in a band that opened for Tobey Keith on a big stage where all the big boys play. It was a total thrill for me to experience that and the place (Bank of NH Pavillion) has video screens on either side of the stage. I was really hoping that somehow we got recorded but I had no time to worry about any of that as I had to deal with my drums. After we finished and before I even had my stuff loaded to the car, our band manager was given a DVD with the whole thing on it from the video feed. I was pretty shocked that it was just handed over that quickly. It's not the best mix or anything like that. mainly because we were an opening act with a 5 minute soundcheck but it is pretty cool to have. I'm sure VH always had a great mix from the board and it should have been very easy to make a recording of the show I would think. Mind you, I did my show in 2015 so I don't know how easy it would have been do do this sort of thing in the early 90's. I would still be willing to bet that there are a ton of shows like this of VH that were recorded. Why not??
