Why the need to make every website secure is beyond me? Unless you’re sharing sensitive information with a website, the need for encryption seems to a SSL certificate money grab. If someone wants to piece together information based on my unencrypted web surfing, have at it.

Do the insecure images show using your Mac with Safari by default?

It’s crazy, they show on my iphone using Safari, Chrome & Edge.

PC, they don’t show using Chrome or Edge unless you change the insecure content settings from block to allow.

Have you tried keeping the checkbox option — Retrieve remote file and reference locally — when you paste your URL? The image is a thumbnail link when you're logged in and displays as an attachment when you're logged out. I assume it works using a PC browser since the file is referenced from the server locally.

i found the fix in edge


while on the vhlinks site click the secure lock symbol in the web address
go to site permissions
scroll down to insecure content and change to allow.


im not sure why putting vhlinks and ibenderguitars in the settings to allow did not work
i liked iE not a fan of edge.

Yeah, that’s the same process I used yesterday for Chrome and Edge—set to allow insecure content under site properties.

I guess it boils down to if you want to link to image URL’s that are insecure, you can select to reference the file locally so it’s stored on the server (I guess that’s cool with Brett?) which would allow it to be viewed by everyone or keep the insecure URL and use an iOS device to view. No telling if it’ll continue to work in the future.

I guess the other alternative is to get a certificate for your domain and enable https.

ive tried it several times and have had zero luck. it is not user friendly to say the least
