Question on EQ placement

Hey All,

I just picked up a Boss GE-7 on the cheap and am reading different things on where to place...wondering on the thoughts of the group here being we are all VH freaks and you all are who I respect the most!

I currently have Wah - Phaser - Flanger - Chorus in front and then Two Delays - HoF Reverb - Eventide H9 in the loop. The board feeds either EVH Lunchbox II or EL34 depending on my mood.

Most what I read have me thinking to put in the loop first pedal?

i always put it first but i also used it for some extra gain

What are you trying to shape with the EQ? If it's a guitar then I'd put it in front of the amp. If it's the amp I'd put it in the FX Loop.

Sincerely, somebody who's very rarely used an EQ pedal.
