It's easily the weakest track on Fair Warning, but it works perfectly as a segue into One Foot Out The Door, which is killer.

even though i like both..... i think both are more filler to me
    DAVE vs SAMMY

People need to let this go.....it is like comparing an ex wife to your current wife...you can say how things would have be different if she were still here but she left you, so you moved on with your life.....

Same with Van Halen...would they have liked to have Roth stay, yes...but he decided to leave so they moved on.......

and the rest is history….. well until 1996……..lol

No VH is filler. Except Dancing In The Street. It's just crap.

I didn't realize until I just relistened to it how much Sunday Afternoon sounds like Intruder. Not really sounding like, but (to me anyway) has the same structure as Intruder. I was trying to figure out if the two were connected and cut apart for different albums. I don't think so. However, I wonder if Ed may have reworked Sunday into Intruder as an evolution of the instrumental.

    No. It’s a killer instrumental.

I loved how it sounded live on the ‘81 boots.

One of my close friends used to refer to it as "monster" when Fair Warning was first released in 1981. That album will be 40 years old on 4/29/21.

My sister calls it the Puking Aliens song. I see what she means lol

Eddie allegedly wrote Sunday Afternoon In The Park after a big fight with Valerie. What song that appeared on a future album did he write after they made up?
