Default VH's "Song Remains the Same"

So I remember reading somewhere some info about a bunch of footage from the DLR era filmed that was intended to be the VH version of SRTS. I can't seem to find this story anywhere, if anyone has a link or remembers the details re-enlighten me please.

I vaguely remember hearing something like this being mentioned by Dave but I could be totally wrong. I dont remember it being discussed here at length.

Also keep in mine DLR probably views the No Holds BBQ as his Song Remains The Same....

There was that talked about 1980 footage that was allegedly supposed to be like the Stones' "Cocksucker Blues" and I think TSRTS was mentioned but I thought someone here debunked it or tried to.

Maybe it's that '83-'84 Rape of The Vaults footage?

I seem to remember reading about this in the Inside magazines. A whole bunch of footage was supposed to of been filmed in 1980
If you have nothing nice to say about Eddie Van Halen, you're at the right website. - Me (A few years ago)

"People take Van Halen much more seriously than we do" - David Lee Roth (1980's)

"I don't sit on the end of your bed while you're trying to make a living" - David Lee Roth (1988)

"For some reason people love to complain about everything. The internet has made it easy for people to do that. Shut the fuck up and get a life, or show me how good you can do it."- Edward Van Halen

"A lot of people ask me which Van Halen singer was better. You can't compare them. It's like asking which guitarist is better. Nobody is better than anybody. Every player is their own person."-Edward Van Halen

"I do like Eddie Van Halen as a player. He gets it right quite often." -Paul McCartney

Didn't Dave say, not too long ago, on his Roth Show, that he was going through the old footage of the band onstage and off and working on a VH project, putting it all together?

If I remember correctly that is what became of Tokyo dome. But I imagine that was the backup plan that they had and the first was scrapped.

I thought the original plan was club shows or demos...but the tapes were bad... Dave mentioned this video project after Tokyo Dome, like 2016-2018 somewhere on the Roth show.

Sounded like a great idea, a VH video project over the years...

My guess would be Van Halen scrapped it, but that it was the genesis for DLR's "The Roth Project".
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Yup, it's called "Live Without A Net" - the only credible live VH concert available. Unfortunately, VH must be holding the record for the least amount of live video footage available.
