Happy Edmas Eve. Let’s share some fave EVH memories for this holiest of days

This will be our first Edmas without EVH. I’m not doing well. But making playlists of Edmas carols and sharing memories has helped.

What are some of your favorite EVH memories? My top has to be the last time I saw them live. It was my sons first time and we ended up in the front row against the barricade on Wolf’s side. Watching my kid during Eruption brought tears to my eyes. I have a 1000 other memories but this one is close to my heart.

The band playing "Rockin' in the Free World" during the '93 tour and seeing Ed rock out the solo!!

1992- Mexico City - F.U.C.K. TOUR
Second time I saw VH
had a sign that read "EDDIE I WANT YOUR PICK!!"
I was around the third row Eddie´s side, he and Sammy read my sign and Ed proceded to throw me about 5-6 guitar picks, I managed to get one, still have it framed on my office.

Gone but never forgotten!

My son and I did the VIP Package back in 2012 at the Dallas, TX Show. Got to see soundcheck that included “Light Up The Sky” (among others). So cool to see Eddie just being a regular guy and interacting with the fans before the show. What a Great show it was!

Hard to believe that was almost 10 years ago.

I have so many great memories of Eddie Van Halen that it would be virtually impossible for me to pick a favorite. My life was changed forever the first time I heard his mind-boggling and other-worldy guitar playing over 42 years ago. His genius will live on forever through his amazing music.

Driving home yesterday from a stressful meeting. Dance the Night Away came on the radio. By the time it got to the chorus and I couldn't help it...a big smile came across my face, Ed your music has always been a balm to my soul. For all the music, I can never thank you enough .

I don't understand Sam.

He didn't talk to Ed for 16 years, and now he acts like they were best buds. I know everything is airbrushed after death, but c'mon. If he meant that much to you and miss him that much, maybe reach out to him before he's on his deathbed.

Yeah It wasn't like Sam didn't think about Ed pretty much every day...you know he did. But I think we all are guilty of thinking there will always be time....until there is no time.
