I hope for good things for Corey Lajoie - didn't realise his new team - Spire Motorsports - was housed in the old Kulwicki race shop. And they are number 7 as well. Corey just did a photo tribute to Kulwicki on Twitter.

Watched the wreck a few times again this morning trying to decipher if there is going to be a rift in the harmony at Penske. I don't really feel that Logano made any kind of move - just not sure if Keselowski misjudged or was expecting a move from Logano that didn't happen.

It looked to me like McDowell gave Kes a bump that sent him into Logano.

so Michael McDowell and now Christopher Bell already pretty much locked into the chase (the announcers will say that they are, but as long as there is a chance of a 17th different winner in the first 26 races, I don't think they are). I like to see new winners (though I didn't get to see yesterday's race, so I saw nothing). Next up - Bubba?

this is where i wish i had friends - friends who liked racing. Charlotte is just one of those races that begs to be watched with other people.

The SRX event at Stafford Springs, CT was really cool to watch on CBS last night.
12 cars set up exactly with 1 local driver and 11 legends/old-timers along with a couple current drivers from Indy and other racing organizations.

so kind of like IROC?

I do wish the all star race had been last night as it has typically been on a Saturday night in the past. I'll be traveling this evening, so not sure if i'll get to see/hear much of it

Yes, it is like the old IROC series.
As for the All-Star race, NOT on a Saturday night and NOT in Charlotte, I didn’t like that.
Kyle Larson won it and continues to show that he is a major force this season.

it's funny how i sometimes know when to look out of an airplane window. after being buried in my iPad for a bit yesterday, i decided to glance out my window and determined "probably north carolina/tennessee/virginia/kentucky". Knew exactly where we were moments later when i spotted Bristol Motor Speedway! Then later, looked out just as we were coming in over Daytona Beach and saw that familiar speedway as well.

Chase with the win at Road America!!

I’m usually not a fan of the road courses but this one was pretty cool. Loved seeing the fans camping out right next to the track in a lot of areas.

Just finished the second season of “Lost Speedways”. Dale jr. does a phenomenal job with this - is that a dead bug on the floor when he walks into his garage at the beginning? Just sad though to see some of these cool places that once were. Didn’t even know there was a speedway off US 1 in Arundel, Maine! Wonder if my dad ever went there?
