Sooo...EVH is releasing a Frankie reflector kit...
...for $50. I haven't seen them in detail yet. Are they the right design?

Achievements:
You can see them here. They're not the right pattern/design. They're the same as the Fender Replicas from late 2000s.

Ahhhh...that's kinda what I figured. Luckily, I've already got the right ones on my replica, but I thought I'd take a look at them and draw a little bit of scrutiny to them for those who may be looking for a set, but don't know the differences. If you're looking for accurate reflectors, get a set where the internal designs look like these...

That's what blows me away with the $25k replica. I mean, if I'm buying a $1200 guitar or something I guess you learn to deal with the fact those things are discontinued or whatever, but if I'm paying for something that has the value of a car, that thing better be perfect. When you're into the thousands of dollars for cost and price for a limited edition production, it seems crazy they wouldn't take the time to do it correctly. Is the extra $25 to get the correct parts really eating into their profit margin or something?
CNN may think my opinion matters, but you shouldn't.

Slightly off topic, but I've always found it rather odd that Fender couldn't find/special order some Schallers with the W. Germany stamp on them as well. Such a small, unimportant detail in any other situation, but for a 25K supposedly '100% accurate' replica, it seems that perfection should be expected.
There's a thin line between genius and insanity. I like to dance on it.
