Strong first period for Montreal. Bang-bang play results in Vegas being up by 1. Could have easily been 2-0 the other way.

Habs have to start capitalizing on their chances, which they had plenty of that period.

Because playing from behind against Fleury isnít going to be easy.

Price in all our God-mode right now showing people why heís the best goalie in the World right now.

And the Habs are still down 3-1.

Habs forwards need to start shooting on Fleury. He simply hasnít been tested.

Might be time to slightly adjust the dump and chase game plan here.

That 3rd goal killed the Habs. When Cole got his goal I thought MTL might come back. They played strong at the end of the game at least. They will have to be better next game. I hope Jeff Petry will be back. He is missed! I also think they should give Thomas Tatar another chance, he's been benched since the beginning of the Leaf series.

I thought it was evenly played. Holding when it occurs in the middle of the ice should always be a penalty.

If the Habs play the entire game like they did in the first period, thereís a possibility weíre having a different discussion after tonightís game.

Price is doing his job. Forwards need to step up and not take their foot off the gas.

They simply could not get anything going up the middle of the ice, through the neutral zone in the second and third periods.

Vegas was able to withstand the initial surge by the Habs, then locked it down. MAF kept them in it in the first with some huge saves.

Price was great, but he got SONNNNNKKKKKKED by Shea T.

3rd goal by the Knights was just a back breaker. Habs were still celebrating Caulfield's goal. Killed what momentum they had.

That was a beauty goal by Vegas. I think Price bit a bit too hard on the fake, but still thatís an almost impossible save for a goalie.

Yeah I agree they do. He hurt his hand in a fluke injury, his fingers got caught in a camera hole in the glass when he was skating. I read he will need surgery after the season. Hopefully he will be able to play though in this series. He plays a ton of minutes usually along with Weber.

    Talking

AN AWESOME WIN TONIGHT BY THE CANADIENS! They proved tonight, they can outskate, check, defend & most importantly outscore & beat Vegas!!! Price outplayed Fleury! Tyler Toffoli had a great night, scoring & even making great defensive plays.

Paul Byron had my favorite goal with a wicked backhand to the top corner for the game winner! Jeff Petry had a solid game in his return as well. I thought MTL held back too much in the 3rd though. They should keep trying to score until the end instead of holding onto the lead next game IMO. Just 3 more wins & The Canadiens are in the Stanley Cup Final! GO HABS GO!!

Price was great. He was able to withstand the Vegas onslaught in the 3rd period. All Montreal fans should be thankful of the goal post that was hit late by Vegas, would have tied it up.

That Byron backhand was pretty sick for the 3rd goal. He was just out of Fleury's reach for the poke check.

I still think Vegas wins this series, but I am glad it will be interesting now.

    +++

TB vs NYI should be fun tonight. Those crazy Islander fans should be rocking the old barn. TB will probably be looking to come out fast right away to quiet the crowd, take away momentum. Doubt we will see as much shenanigan's (54 PIMs) as Game 2, lots of after the whistle action and a few questionable hits...haha...
