Let's face it, hockey players aren't exactly known for hygiene--there's a reason why hockey equipment has the reputation it does, so I can only imagine how easy it would be to spread. When you see guys sharing water bottles, spitting all over the place during games, etc., I'm frankly shocked that there are incidents where only one player gets it.
    Hey now.....lol...

There are a few other factors that most fans aren't looking at. There is great ventilation in these Arenas, almost like being outside. They are keeping a close eye on building management. Same thing at most local hockey rinks, that is why you haven't seen wide spread breakouts. Yes there have been some, but it has been manageable. Isolate players or teams, cancel a few games, move on.

You can also adjust humidity. Having humidity between 40% to 50% helps a ton to reduce spread.

They are also not sharing water bottles. Spitting is reduced...haha... At the local ice rinks, you can't spit on ice at all......lol...

Yeah it's crazy. Given how the last couple of games have gone against the Coyotes I'm sick of seeing them already

I don't care how much they are adjusting the humidity and airflow, if you have someone that is infected with Covid breathing heavy from an intense shift in your huddle after a goal or sitting next to you on the bench, you're going to get it. I also find it funny the coaches are wearing their masks during the game, and then you see them pull it down to yell at the referee as they lean over the players on the bench. I've seen that at least once a game on both benches.

I'm just hoping they can keep the lid on long enough for the players to start getting vaccines to come playoff time we won't have any issues.

The Blues and Sharks played a crazy one the other night. The Blues came out on top with a 7-6 victory, but probably the story of the night was what happened after Jordan Binnington was pulled in the 2nd period. After Evander Kane scored on a seemingly innocent shot (upon closer inspection Tory Krug deflects it just enough to allow it to sneak by Binner), he gets pulled. On his way off the ice he proceeds to chirp with the Sharks bench, fakes a punch at Karlsson, and then ends up almost going at it with Dubnyk before getting off the ice. He was fired the fuck up.

The backstory is that Evander Kane nut shotted Binnington a few games ago. Fast forward to this game and after Kane scored, apparently he was chirping at Binnington who wasn't having any of it which is why he circled back to the bench. After getting chirped a few more times on his way out, Dubnyk told him to calm down and get off the ice which just pissed him off even more. Lol. Apparently the boys on Blues loved it and they responded by getting the win.

A dusty gooch sounds like a personal problem.

Dubnyk is 6'6", 225.... lol... He would have killed Binner....haha....

All the goalies and defense sucked in that game. Didn't make much difference in the actual outcome. It was a scorefest regardless. Sharks are really bad.

Their next game should be a fun one.

Dude I don't know. Binnington is like a serial killer with his demeanor. He's calm and cool and then he snaps. When he's pissed off it's like the old saying "it's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog." Anyway, it probably wouldn't have gone anywhere with all that equipment on, but I just found the whole thing hilarious and old school. With as pissed off as we get as fans, it's nice to see some emotion out of the players when things aren't going well.
CNN may think my opinion matters, but you shouldn't.
