I am kind of amazed at how he has turned out. Before Lebron there was only one time I can remember people talking about his behavior. He and Dion Waiters didn't like each other and I guess they was a ruckus in the locker room. Tristan Thompson I think got a black eye but that was it. People blamed it on Waiters. He didn't sound weird when doing interviews. Came off as intelligent and mature. Then something happened. Guy is a flake.
Kyrie is very articulate, even though he spews a lot of nonsense. Dude just isn't nearly as good as he thinks he is.

Gotta say, this is an impressive Lakers team. They have so many looks and are still experimenting with them.

What previous Lakers team comes closest to matching their depth?

My brother-in-law asked me that same question yesterday. This is the deepest Lakers team that I can ever remember. As long as they play defense, they will be very hard to beat.

Theyíre getting better as Anthony Davis continues to score less. Is quite amazing actually.

They go 11 deep which is super smart. I don't think it's deep with really good players but they're good enough to be able to rest guys. They're gonna be able to keep Lebron and AD at about 30 minutes per game which is unheard of for players of that level. Once the playoffs come it'll be back to an 8 man rotation with rested stars.

Their offense has become so much more versatile and less predictable with the additions of Schroeder, Gasol and Harrell. Also, Kuzma has improved his passing and rebounding and Caruso has greatly improved his 3 point shot. Horton-Tucker looks like he is going to be REALLY good. Matthews, although he's been out with an injury, was also an excellent addition.

Harrell, Kuzma, Caruso, Horton-Tucker, Matthews and Morris in one hell of a bench. The could still use another rim protector.

It depends on whom they are playing and how close the games are. Every single one of those guys can contribute on both sides of the court.

they can. But Lebron and AD aren't playing 30 minutes a game come playoff time. Bench minutes will be limited.

Mike ALL those guys played in the playoffs last year. The only one that didnít was Horton-Tucker who is taking a gigantic step forward this year. Iím not sure what youíre talking about there.

You did watch the playoffs last year right? All those guys listed were gigantic contributors to a championship team in the playoffs. And Harrell last I checked was pretty good off the bench for another team. And Iím pretty sure Wesley Matthews played extensive minutes the last couple years for the team thatís had the best record in the NBA.

I literally have no idea what Mike is talking about, all those guys played in the playoffs last year and will again this year. Horton-Tucker is the only one who didnít. Well he got like one game of garbage time.

Yep. Lebron's and AD's minutes will go up, but the rest of the guys we mentioned will still get playing time.

Just saying you guys are regularly playing 11 guys good minutes, i dont see that happening in the playoffs when AD and Lebron go back to playing 40 minutes a game. Not a hot take. Every team shortens their bench in the playoffs.

I think both sides are right, based upon Vogel in the bubble.

What will happen come playoff time will be a larger version of what happened in the bubble when certain players like Dwight got more PT in certain series for matchup purposes.

But the depth gives flexibility to perhaps keep players from picking up an early 3rd foul in a series, too, with a few minutes here and there, which also keeps players sharp.

Moving on, as it stands right now, ESPN shows LAL have two guys in the top 5 of qualified players 3PT%, Caruso and KCP.

Canít believe itís gone from Pelinkaís a joke to this roster so fast. Plus, Vogel was there for anyone to take and heís done a fantastic job (of course he has LBJ and AD, but still). And the scouting has always been great for a team usually drafting late. Guys like Caruso (plucked for summer after going undrafted) and THT prove LAL still is strong in that department. Plus look at all the guys they drafted when they sucked that became room for Lebron or traded for AD. The rarely ďwhiffedĒ on anyone.
