They were healthier, i think that's the main difference. Also you can't convince me the mess that has been the last 13 months hasn't impacted every team in that league in different ways.

Overcoming adversity and whacky covid stuff that's effecting everyone in the league. Lakers did it last year, staying mostly healthy though. They've got a little time to get on track, and still have the very real potential to flick the switch in the PO's and win it all again regardless of where they're seeded.

I think a major mistake that was made by the front office was getting rid of so much defense (Howard, McGee and Green) and replacing it with offense (Shroeder, Harrell and Gasol).

The again, they were 21-6 before the injury to AD ...

Lebron is out tonight due to re-aggravating his ankle and Shroeder is out 10-14 days due to Covid protocol.

    Not looking good ...

I still think last yearís team was just better. So much better defensively. I just never really loved the chemistry with this team. And again I think the fact that the Lakers had barely 2 months off between seasons was the bigger issue. They needed more rest especially with older guys like LeBron and guys who are injury-prone like AD. I think there was a huge hangover from winning the title in the bubble and what it took to do that. Yeah they started the season off pretty well, but you could see there were some flaws even with the good start.

The Lakers certainly tried to give it away. Big win.

That was a cool game. Lakers finally came alive offensively before the Nugs finally did. Horrible call on the Carpazo "foul" on Davis in the final minute, negating the Porter three to I think come within 1 or maybe tie. Carpazo and Davis were chuckling about it together a little while later. Heck of a game-saving flop, Davis.

    Gritty game. Gritty win.

Did anyone see Lebron's flop against the Raptors over the weekend? He wasn't even touched and he acted like he got hit over the head with a crowbar.

That in a nutshell is why I don't like him.

Yup. It's amazing that someone who commits 10 uncalled offensive fouls a game can be such a pussy

The Lakers canít beat the fucking Kings with their entire roster but somehow beat the Nuggets. Uh ok. Although they did completely fold down the stretch and were amazingly lucky to win.

They finally decided to play some defense last night. They better continue to do so, or they will absolutely end up in the play in round.

The Nuggets finally played like complete ass last night for the first three quarters of that game, except for Jokic of course who really wanted it. I was expecting it. This team's due a reality check or two or three before going into the PO's, and so I'm not too bothered by last nights loss. They need growth with all these injuries and new players since the break.

Barton's out too with no timetable, and lost Dozier last night to a groin. Nugs are getting very very thin out there and the cracks were definitely showing last night.

Wruff, how far do you honestly think the Nuggets can go without Jamal Murray? He was a major loss.
