Well Brad was in charge of that site so I’m going to assume he did it? Who else would’ve done it? That makes no sense because he also worked for Mike and did his site for at least a time. Maybe it was someone else.

Nobody. It hasn't been update since 2015.

I can't think of another band website that wouldn't update their website if a founding member died.

If I recall they had hired some other SoCal web development/multi-media outfit to do a full revamp of van-halen.com. I don't remember the name of the company... but there was speculation among the fan sites that Starks was out with the brothers, due to his on-going relationship and handling Michael's madanthonycafe.com. That was just fan talk and probably bullshit... who knows.

I did check today and it appears Brad is still doing Mike's site... there's a reference to bobothewebmonkey on the contact page which is a nickname that Mike bestowed on Brad back in the early 2000's...

Bro, they didn’t make announcements about shit. Anything, Zilch, nada.

Let alone VAN HALEN's web designer. "Hey, I'm gonna remove Michael Anthony from the album covers today because that would be cool...."

As much as I’d like to say the band isn’t being honest here, you never know. I mean if you’re building a website and you really have no amazing connection to the band, you probably don’t even think it’s a big deal to switch the picture like that. I have a feeling whoever was working on the website was just some web designer they hired and not like some ultra Van Halen fan. They probably thought it was a clever idea. They probably didn’t have to ask permission on every little thing they put up there, and were given some creative license to do what they wanted. Other than Wolfgang, the other members of the band really didn’t give a fuck about the internet very much. I doubt they were monitoring every little image and thing put up there. You know they don’t care.

I appreciate Wolf's attempt to change the narrative on that sad chapter, but erasing Mike (temporarily) was purposeful and would not have been done without a certain someone's approval or direction. They reversed course when fans went ape shit, plain and simple.
