Best VH Interview of All-Time
I always thought this was Van Halen's shining moment on the radio. I've had this on cassette for decades and if I remember correctly now that I'm thinking about it, it's actually 2 interviews--one from '79 and one from '80 on Seattle's KISW. All their interviews (especially with DLR) are great but this one is the cream of the crop. Loved those radio specials from the '90s with the Sammy era and all, too, but here they're like a fuckin' comedy team (and a good one!) and definitely demonstrate how they are the world's biggest and best party band of all-time. Yes they were obnoxious but God it was superb. Not just endless great one-liners, but some of their finest a cappella too!
Some memorable faves:
"You turn me on to your sees-ter and we talk, eh?"
"I prefer corduroy actually."
"Mike the dy--"
"Aw man I think I had that once. Caught it Johannesburg a couple years ago."
"(Boop) your guts out!"Dave
VH FOREVER!!!!!!!

I remember listening to a Rockline interview in 81-83 range and it was a riot. The guy asked Dave something like “do you ever look back at how far you’ve come?” And Dave said “no, only how often”
Or something like that. Hilarious.

I miss bands doing this kind of shit.
How much krell was already consumed I wonder.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.
Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"
David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Another one when they were cracking on Cheap Tricks lyrics and Dave did a Michael Jackson impression.
No one could touch CVH. On or off the stage.
