Me too...I’ve always been a Dweezil fan. I saw Zappa Plays Zappa a few years ago and met him and shook his hand after the show...He was very friendly and gracious...Just a great guy and great musician...

Check it out! Very very cool ...

I first heard that in I think in the late 90's and figured it out. He plays the "slap" lick up on the 17th fret in A and goes down chromatically to F#. The left hand instead of doing the "slap" muting by the nut plays the octave A on the 7th fret D string. For the chromatic descending lick you bring the left hand down chromatically from A to F# to go along with the descending double stops the right hand is doing up on the 17th fret B and E string down chromatically to the 14th B and E string. You can also play the A to F# bass part up at the 12th fret A string. He also may be just using his thumb up on the 17th fret and going down chromatically to the 14th fret low E. So thumb on the low note, low E string, index on the double stop, B and E, and take it down chromatically and very quickly to the 14th. I haven't tried playing it since I figured it out one night a long time ago and I was stoned off my ass. I remember playing that boot and hearing that section and I was like, wait, wait, wtf was that, and I grabbed the guitar.

Led Paul said almost the exact same thing to Jimmy Page.

Weren’t they going to have Don Landee and Ted Templeman sit down as well?

That would be must see TV.

Think the guy said they had Templeman agree. Don’t think Landee had agreed at the time of the Dweezil recording.
    SOME VH LINKS CLASSICS

"Sammy is fat, Dave is bald, Mike is next in line to be the Pope, Eddie is a drunk, Wolfie is fat, Gary is gay, CVH is VH, Mike is VH, Sammy can outsing Dave on a tequilla hangover, Eddie is a meth head, How Many Say I is the worst VH song ever, Up for Breakfast is a close second, Dave was horrible at radio and everybody hates the assless chaps.
Ok I think that covers everything." Ziggysmalls

"I sense that some of our newer passengers may be nervous due to the sudden turbulence. Please be seated, this is simply a normal part of the periodic ride.
I didn't say we'll get to the destination, but until Alex comes out a says what a complete waste of carbon DLR is, we're still climbing, so strap yourselves in.
Those of you who have been on this ride before, the hottie in the mini will be around shortly with your drinks......." Red
