First post/Looking for a superstrat
Hey all!
I've been in the market for my first superstrat (been playing for a little over 5 years) and figured this would be the prime place to ask for advice. I'm working with a $650 budget. My main considerations so far have been a Schecter Sun Valley Super Shredder, Wolfgang Standard, and Jackson SLX Soloist. I'm leaning towards the Schecter for the familiar body shape and mahogany body (although any wood is fine I just like how solid mahogany is), but there are other features I'm not so keen on so I'm keeping an open mind to other guitars. I'm not worried about Floyd Rose Specials, as I have an old OFR salvaged from a Kramer Pacer that I can use if absolutely necessary. Any other guitars I should consider?

First post/Looking for a superstrat
Look at the new Charvel SoCal’s and San Dimas’s. Charvel is owned by Fender so if you want to stay in the Fender family like the EVH stuff, that’s a great way to go. Frankly I think the Charvel stuff is nicer than the EVH stuff but it’s just a matter of opinion.
Oh and if you want 24 frets like a Jackson or Schecter or something, the the Charvel’s version is called a DK24.
The prices are a little above your $650 range but you can find them used.Webmaster

Charvels and EVH's would be my recommendations...
If you have nothing nice to say about Eddie Van Halen, you're at the right website. - Me (A few years ago)
"People take Van Halen much more seriously than we do" - David Lee Roth (1980's)
"I don't sit on the end of your bed while you're trying to make a living" - David Lee Roth (1988)
"For some reason people love to complain about everything. The internet has made it easy for people to do that. Shut the fuck up and get a life, or show me how good you can do it."- Edward Van Halen
"A lot of people ask me which Van Halen singer was better. You can't compare them. It's like asking which guitarist is better. Nobody is better than anybody. Every player is their own person."-Edward Van Halen
"I do like Eddie Van Halen as a player. He gets it right quite often." -Paul McCartney

The Charvel Pro Mod with roasted maple necks are awesome value for money. They play really, really well.

Look for a MIJ Jackson dinky. They made them from 2006-2008. You can get it for like 400 bucks and put a real gotoh on it.

For the price range you are looking at for a Super Strat, I would say your best bet would be a Jackson Adrian Smith. You can always swap pickups without too much trouble, and every one I've played seems like a good solid unit. It is also well under your price requirements.

Thanks for all the help guys! Did some research and the jackson soloist is looking like the one but I’m definitely gonna keep a close eye on the used market around me incase anything pops up that I like better. As for the Adrian Smith sdx I’ve seen those but the truss rod adjustment requires taking off the neck and I have unfortunate luck with needing to adjust the truss rods on new guitars when i get them (must be a temperature/humidity thing). Thanks again everyone!

Late to the party here but I picked up one of these Charvel DK22s used a few months ago and I can't believe all of the features you get on these: roasted neck with graphite-reinforcement rods like the Wolfgangs, glow-in the dark fret markers, locking tuners, Tusq nut, Duncan pickups, no-load tone pot, Bourns volume pot, Gotoh 510. The tuning stability was fine with the term from the factory but I put a set of the Wilkinson locking saddles for a little extra stability on the G-string. I was really jonesing for a Suhr and thought I'd give one of these a whirl; it has definitely scratched the itch.
