Think all cards damn near tanked when eBay and the internet made them realize there were more cards around than they thought.

I know I have so many that when I got them were worth so much money. I thought I would be able to sell them for a ton of cash, but now I have thousands and thousands of cards that basically arenít worth shit. Itís kind of depressing. I spent so much money on them back in the day and I could pretty much throw them away now.

yeah, I went to sell some of my older cards earlier this century and got squat for them. And while I was in the process of doing that, there was no interest in any of the '80s sets - i was told people were burning them for firewood. Hey, burn enough of them and maybe mine will be worth something again! Just sucks because the ones I did sell were some of my favourites, but we needed some cash. Same goes with all of my basketball, hockey and football cards I used to have that i sold in the late '80s for the same reason. Ah, well...

Sometimes it seems like there's a thread with these things - LaSorda - Dodgers. Sutton - Dodgers, but then Braves announcer. Now Aaron - Braves. If Robin Yount goes next...

the Marlins' schedule shows a full slate of spring training games starting February 27, but I still have heard squat about spring training. I know we're still a couple of weeks away from when they would report, but I'm still not feeling very optimistic

I'm not too optimistic either billy. But maybe they'll surprise us. I was expecting a shorter spring training, if anything.
Opening day is April 1st. I'm really hoping that doesn't change.

I thought Schilling was getting in this year. Apparently his 'character' kept him out. Now he's requesting to be removed from the '22 ballot, his final year of eligibility.

Bonds and Clemens saw increases in their votes again...still short though. Todd Helton saw a big jump.
