I doubt I ever really stopped there - just remember driving though to visit my step brother when he was living in Virginia Beach and I was either in Delaware or Maryland!

Salisbury brings some memories back to me. As a kid in the 60s we would go to Ocean City MD and my dad had to stop in Salisbury at some dump of a place for fried chicken. This joint was so nasty looking you would think the health department would shut it down but to this day I never had better chicken. Something in the batter was a mixture of honey and seasoning just incredible and of course Purdue chickens.

Really wish I'd done some minor league games when i lived there. Frederick, Hagerstown, I think Aberdeen had a team at the time too - all would've been easy trips. Maybe that's the problem - too easy! I like a bit of a drive sometimes...

Wow! I swear the last time I went to a Suns game, I remember left field being elevated. There was a definite pitch in elevation from center to left field and I’m sitting there thinking wtf? This is a minor league park...that and a mascot that looked like it was pulled from a barn fire. Scruffy duck! Ha-Ha!

Dick Allen also known as Ritchie Allen passed on Dec 7th. I saw him play alot when he came to the American league. Could hit a ball a mile. Used a 43 oz bat? Here is what Jim Palmer thought of him.

Baseball loses another great player, Dick Allen.A no nonsense slugger. I asked a scout about the difference between Frank’s homers, Dick’s homers. Dick hit them about 50 ft farther. Really something. #RIP

Sorry to hear about the passing of Country Hall of fame Charley Pride! Yes, he did get a single off me in Pompano Beach playing for his buddy, Billy Martin! It proves he could hit better than I can sing. #RIP

I think the Braves will remain. Names like the Redskins and the Indians (and even the Eskimos up here which is getting changed) shouldn't be team nicknames.

I guess I’m stupid I never realized the word Indian was offensive. Unless I guess you’re from India of course. I didn’t know that the name was a slur, I always thought it was a name that Westerners used when they came over and conquered the people already here.

We have a high school here that is changing it's name from Redskins as well.
