Not sure why he would care. They weren't in Eddie's possession any longer and hadn't for a long time.

Curious if any of you out there have any of the Charvel Art Series guitars from the 04, 07/08, or 12 tour. Would you ever consider selling?

I would hope you would be in position to hold on to them but a couple hundred thousand during these times might be needed for some. Of course these were all purchased originally too.

If I got one personally signed from Ed for free I don't think I could sell it.

Wolf is bent out of shape over the timing, which I understand. The optics on this is bad - reeks of taking advantage of Eddie's death. And one of the three guitars was a gift from Ed, which makes it a bit worse.

I'm also surprised the Charvel Art series sold for $140k. I didn't think they'd appreciate in value that much.

He’s going to have a hard time coming to grips with this but I would imagine this will happen a lot in the near future.

I’m pretty sure that was the one that Dimebag Darrell played around on backstage after Eddie signed it. That might have helped the price a bit.

I think that Kramer giveaway guitar with a Floyd Rose 2 on it going for $231k is the real shocker. That’s just ridiculous.

How many more guitars are out there that Eddie touched and have been in others possession? Any and all of those guitars and gear will be sold for outrageous profits, disappointing but not shocking.

I sure hope if Wolf does put any of his dad's guitars in a museum that he puts protections on those not to be sold.

Well now he has everything but before he passed I remember something with Ed saying wolf had it.

No kidding.

Considering, they didn’t sell well initially and many retailers had to drop their price by almost half of the initial $25,000 MSRP, but even then many werent interested.

This is probably good for them. Terrible circumstances but they might be able to get $40-60k for those guitars now.

I would also think/hope that if Wolf were to ever sell off the guitars, he’d do it Gilmour style. Sell the whole lot and donate all the proceeds to charity.

Frankie alone would probably go for $6-8 million.

The Frankie would probably be the most expensive guitar ever sold if wolf actually did it. Which I highly, extremely, and hopefully doubt.

Me too. I doubt it ever gets sold.

I think the record currently stands at around $5 million and change for Cobain’s acoustic that sold a few months back. Prior to that it was Gilmour’s Black Strat for $4 million and change.

The Frankie is a one off and there isn’t another one in the world like it, so that leads me to believe that at auction it would go for an astronomical price. That being said the replica Frankie’s didn’t sell well initially and had been decreasing in value, so that gives some insight into the market’s demand but at the same time some rich tycoon like Jim Irsay with more money than God would probably drop a fortune on it.

It’s virtually priceless so it’s hard to gauge where the needle goes when it comes to value. It might go for an absolute insane amount or it might not.

SRV’s Number One would give it a run for it’s money, I imagine. Those Fender replica’s go for $45,000 now.

Billy Gibbon’s Pearly Gates would certainly give it a run if it wouldn’t eclipse it. Those Gibson replicas go for $50-60,000 now. I think somebody offered Billy $5 million for the guitar years ago and he turned it down.

Any of the tour played and road used guitars like the Frankie or the 5150 would go for millions with the Frankie going for fuck you money. Like at least 8 digits.

You think it would go for well over $10 million? I’m not so sure.
