Pickup Building

Hello everyone, I know that there is a lot of talented people on here when it comes to guitar construction. Has anyone ever built a pickup? I was looking into it and had a couple questions.

never made one but as a 35 year player and a 15 year builder and a eet degree holder I would love to hear the questions

Hello Mikey, thanks for the response. I have seen your work and it is impress. I know the basic construction of a humbucker. I prefer Allen/hex screws over screws and slugs. With that being said, If I were to build my own pickup can the Allen screws for universally into any bobbin I buy. Second question. I know when winding a humbucker the matching or mismatching of the number of winds on each coil affects the tone of the pickup. Any info on what does what?
