But how much does Ed play on that Hendrix tune apart from that intro? I don't think that intro is all that. I know that Ted would've never green lit something like this to appear on a VH record.

Wow...I LOVED the new version intro... Absolutely loved it!
Not sure how much he's on the rest, but I think he's part of it all...

The new intro is definitely better...
I pulled my David Garfield CD to look over the original credits.
For "If Six Was Nine", Eddie is credited with guitar on the intro (right side) and high part on the chorus.
Michael Landau is credited with lead guitar on the track and lead vocal on the chorus. Will Lee plays bass and sings lead on the verse parts.
For "It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry", Ed plays the 1st solo.
Paul Barrere plays the slide (2nd solo). Boz Scaggs sings lead.
“And what we have at our fingertips is arguably one of the greatest high tenor voices ever – that was in Michael Anthony. In our tiny little corner of the universe, that voice is as identifiable as the high voice in Earth, Wind & Fire, as identifiable as the high voice in the Beach Boys. Van Halen is an indelicate house blend of both – that’s intentionally. So I would always look forward to that reunion.” - David Lee Roth

The thing about Urban is that 10 years ago, I could see him maybe being successful. He was innovative and a bit younger. I don't know if he will be as offensively successful in 2021 as he would...
