I'm not big on Hendrix stuff... heard it all a hundred times and it just bores me. Same with the Great SRV, but I never feel the need to ever break out his albums after lstening to his tunes for thirty years... they all just sound the same anymore... that's just me though.
The intro is very cool but might have served a different tune much better since it just seems tacked on here.
I shouldn't have used the term "cash grab" since I have always kind of despised it. Maybe a "timing opportunity" is more efficient for the release of the track.
There is one Hendrix related tape I have from the 90's called If 60's were 90's, where a group that I can't recall the name did remixes of Jimmy tunes and made them more danceable. Need to dig that out and give it a listen... see if it held up after all this time.Last edited by Number 47; 11.27.20 at 06:49 AM.

Hendrix is one of those guys, I feel, where people either get him or they don’t. Not too many are just undecided on Jimi.
I don’t necessarily understand it fully because I personally think the man was brilliant, but it seems like that’s how the split is.
It’s all subjective. People think Devin Townsend and Les Claypool are brilliant and while I appreciate their talent, I don’t get the genius brilliance when I listenin to them.
They’re not Jimi, obviously but you catch my drift.
When it comes to SRV. He is just as close to a God we’ve seen on the guitar on this planet. He was a direct conduit for a higher power. His fingers had a direct line to “something” else.
My opinion.
