One thing is for sure. We don't know shit about fuck with the relationships of VH. Its very apparent that while we have had rumors of this and that, we never knew what the hell was really going on. We simply are no different than an echo chamber around here. Somebody says something, its supposed to be true so we have some repeat. Then a few years later its known as a fact. Like "air-bassing" made up on this site by somebody. People latched onto it. Repeated it for years. Sam and Alex being buddies. Nope not according to Sam. Everytime he has reached out in the past few years he got nothing from Alex. We didn't know about Sammy and Eddie reconnecting. Just imagine how many posts were sent from February to his death about Sam and Eddie reconnecting. All the while they were texting each other. Those rumors that Fudd started here which were eventually dismissed by the VH News Desk as completely false and then people pounded on him? Now looking like there was some merit. How many discussions, theories did we have about Wolfgang not releasing music? All for naught because he simply wanted to be with a dying father.

We have heard rumors about Mike and why he is was on the outs. Anything from missed funerals, to not discussing his cancer, etc. Only one guy really knows and he has passed. Well maybe Alex knows but long and short is that this band is very secret with whatever they are doing. Its locked down tighter than the 14 year old Phillipino boy in my closet.

Anyway I know we will eventually speculate about all things because its human nature. That said we all need to realize we don't know shit about fuck.

Just glad that Sammy and Eddie made up. I do think if what we have been told is true, Eddie and Sammy were given the inspiration to call each other from a mechanic and a terrible comedian. The beginning of their friendships started by that.

Relationships especially ones that orginate as teenagers asking mom for permission and last 50 years essentially are family. Like all families they are unique, hypocritical, filled w ups and downs and ego or shit that is irrelevant can dominate to the point sonetimes people do not even know why they are fighting but still want to win.

The original 4 are no different. There is.not always a clear logic from the outside just like every other family on earth.

And it contradicts what Mike said in later interviews saying how he tore into DLR once during the tour because DLR wouldn't join them on stage.

You simply have to look at VH interviews as performance art...there is no way to know how much is real and how much is bullshit. You can't take anything these guys say in interviews too seriously.

I'm saying this because I heard it from Michael Anthony directly in 2002. I posted here at the time about my encounter with him. They didn't want him on that tour, Mike said he wanted to play and not stay at home and wait, and did the tour anyways.

There was also "The Wish" that may have partially been used for "Once" and Sam's "Returning of The Wish" but who knows if it was recorded or not with lyrics. The way Sammy talked about it from what I remember sure sounds like they did. For Balance, "Backdoor Shuffle" that became CGTSNM might have had lyrics. "Hendrix Jam" that Mike mentioned probably not because of it just being a working title (and I'm sure because "The Trouble with Never" for obvious reasons). "I Remember" and "Shaker" were some Balance names thrown out there, too.

And I believe "Reincarnation" was the '04 TBOBW leftover.

“Come closer” from CFIII was from parts of “Between us two”.
“Baby come down” and “Someday “ from the “Balance” sessions. I think the “Someday” version we got on “Livin it up” though had different lyrics.

Agree. I don’t think Al has any problems with Sam. They haven’t had contact since 2004. That’s 16 years which is a lot. Whether I agree or disagree with Sammys opinions on Ed in his book, it hurt the VH clan and there was a lot of tension. They basically fell apart, but it’s not saying Al hates Sammy. They’re grown adults that have drifted apart through time.
It would feel awkward answering a phone to someone who’s not “close” to you at all and talking about the past that happened over 16 years ago. These are “normal” people just like us going through grief. I honestly think Al will get in touch with Sam in time, especially if there are plans to release something Sammy related.
