I've picked most of the 180 gram reissues over the last year or so, but Diver Down still eludes me. It's very hard to find online. VHI and 1984 are everywhere, VHII and Fair Warning aren't hard to find, WACF can also be tricky.... but Diver Down is by far the hardest to find.

Buyer beware, there is a noticeable difference in the audio quality between the 24/192 and the 24/96 downloads. The 192 download is basically a flat transfer of the original analog tapes while the 96 download has compression and EQ'ing which noticeably squashes the dynamics of the recordings.
I would recommend checking out Fair Warning as a first purchase.

The great hires experiment on physical media over the last 20 years has been a bust. Partly because there's only so many times record companies can foist classic albums like Dark Side Of The Moon on this years newest audio format before the buying public just says "fuck it" and ignores it. It didn't help that you had several different formats (HDCD, DVD-Audio, DTS-Audio, Blu-ray Audio, Dualdisc Audio, etc) at the same time, some requiring specialized disc players to play the stupid discs (SACDs).
I'm a fan of hires audio regardless of what kind of disc it's pressed on, but imo, Blu-ray audio is the overall best format simply because of storage space and the ability to deliver and play PCM and DD/DTS multi-channel surround mixes and video on an existing Blu-ray player at the technically highest bitrate the industry records at.

I have some Van Halen on vinyl but it's mostly just the DLR and Hagar albums. I missed out on the vinyl version because I was playing mostly CD's in 2012. I now have a nice record player so I would buy ADKOT on vinyl if it got rereleased. $300 for it no way because you could get a really nice turntable for that and CD's don't sound bad.
I would also love a vinyl version of Van Halen 3, I don't think that ever got released on vinyl.

I got my copy off Amazon back in the day for like $25. Just opened it up and played it maybe a summer or two ago. I always love that album and all of the good vibes we all had back in 2012.
I hope that they remaster ALL of the VH albums (fuck it, throw in RHRN, 3, the tracks from BOV1 and BOBW on 45) and release them on colored or splattered vinyl. Would snap that up in a cocaine heartbeat.

$25 for ADKOT on Vinyl, the price is right on that. I wish I was into Vinyl in 2012 but I was playing CD's, stuff on my iPod mostly. Didn't get back into Vinyl again till like 2016. Now I play Vinyl, CD's and stuff on my phone via Bluetooth and use the iPod occasionally. Got a nice Technics turntable and good old fashioned receiver with ground. Sounds better than any of the crap they make today those old recievers are gold.
