Holy Cow that's a hard one both take the cake & I had both before knowing about Ozzy & Bon Scott so it's a tie for me 2 of my all time #1's of all time.

# Of The Beast is a pretty good contender too but not sure anything will ever top Back In Black but 5150 as good as it is well fuck nm no comment

well, when the album is one of the greatest ever, then certainly hands down it has to be the "best 1st album with a 2nd singer" - Back In Black. And then throw Takin' It To The Streets and Fleetwood Mac (1975)(well, that would be new singers, not 2nd singers - does that count?) in for honourable mention

Presuming that those are the choices, I will go with BIB, 5150, and then H+H.

As a VH fan, I like 5150 the best but BIB is just epic and launched a virtually non-stop, productive band for the next 40 years. in comparison, Van Hagar was dead after 10 years and the Dio led BS was done in 3.

I love all 3 of them. I think Heaven And Hell often gets overlooked for how awesome of an album it is. It was the first time in my life (at that point in 1980) that I actually liked Black Sabbath.
