FORBES interview of WVH
I’m pretty sure that people are criticized all the time for everything. Trying to figure out what is warranted criticism or not is frankly silly. I mean he’d been in the band 14 years and he still harping on the criticism that he’s gotten. It just seems unnecessary. Obviously he just can’t get over it for some reason.
I mean if he’s holding onto stuff like someone pointing out I called him Wolfie Poo 12 years ago, then yeah he’s going to have a hard time making it in this industry being happy.Webmaster

FORBES interview of WVH
By the way I remember that post now that I made 12 years ago, and I am pretty sure I was talking about Wolfgang’s playing being not that of a bass player which I’ve said a billion times. Mike is a bass player, Wolfgang is an excellent musician (who wasn’t near the same 12 years ago fyi) who plays bass, but that’s not his primary instrument, which he has also stated many times. I see Mike as a bass player and I think he is a much better bass player for Van Halen than Wolfgang. I have never strayed from that and I never will.
OMG I made a joke and called him Wolfie Poo. Please kill me! I think it’s kind of funny actually, but I guess if you have your head up your ass you would be offended. But what normal person would take giant offense to something so silly? Come on.Webmaster

All he's saying in the interview is even the handful of meaner fans on the internet are being nice now and he's happy about that, happy to read some nice things about his music.
That's all he said there...Be birds singing in the rose gardens of immortality, lions roaring in the forests of knowledge and wisdom.

FORBES interview of WVH
In the grand scheme of things your decade+ old comment is totally mundane. There’s been significantly worse said about him here.
I reacted the way I did to it because it was clearly shit stirring for no good reason on Sludge’s part. After years of negativity we’ve finally reached a place where most of the conversation was positive - and that stunt tried to bring negativity back.
