Is MetalSludge also the guy the same dude that tangled with Wolfgang online, just a few weeks ago?

I think MetalSludge floated the rumor of Wolf replacing Ed on a reunion tour.

Wow! Unless Iím blind to the hated, I would view a lot of the past ďnegativityĒ as just indifference. Sure, thereís always going to be the Mike argument but if that constitutes the hated, unfortunately it kind of comes with the territory.

This same journalist recently interviewed Angus Young and Eddie was brought up a couple of times. I knew it already, but I always warmed my heart reading that Eddie and Malcolm were good friends.

Baltin: You mentioned "Down Payment Blues" and I interviewed Eddie Van Halen, who told me he asked you to play that song every night when you toured together.

Young: I remember that time because Eddie liked hanging out with Mal and Brian and Cliff. They liked going out and having a drink in the bar and stuff. But Malcolm used to say, "Eddie keeps going to me all the time, You gonna do 'Down Payment Blues'?" He loved that song. In fact the last time I saw him was when we were touring and Brian said, "Come down to the shows." And that is the first thing he said, "You gotta do 'Down Payment Blues.'" He liked a lot of, as you said, "Riff Raff" and tracks like that.

Ed had good taste in ACDC stuff. Powerage is my favorite ACDC album. And under-appreciated gem.

Down Payment Blues also has that Panama feel to it so I bet he got the idea for it from that.

Which song from OU812 does the following remind you of, beginning around :45?

"It's so lonely at the top because it's so crowded at the bottom" - Diamond David Lee Roth

"The truth sounds like hate to those who hate the truth" - Todd Wagner

"Women and Children First ... The REAL Van Halen III"

Of course, there's been some negativity towards Wolf around here over the years. But it's nothing compared to twitter or facebook.

We learned early on it was Wolf that got the band back together. Most here have been appreciative and positive.

There never was and never will be a "wave of hate" towards him here.

When Wolf says talks about the mean s**t, he's specifically singling out VH message boards

Van Halen: I know specifically where to look to find the real s**t about me, like super dedicated, diehard Van Halen message boards and stuff.
    which means... us.

    Default FORBES interview of WVH

If you guys are worrying about offending Wolfgang because of things that have been said about him in the past on here, then donít be on the net because heís been slammed everywhere over the years for something. Yeah heís singling us out. Who cares. I think heís far too sensitive. Celebrities get slammed all over the freaking universe.

Iím willing to cut him some slack because who knows what he was going through with his dad so Iím sure he was bitter and angry every day as his father suffered. Maybe there are other things too who knows. But I do have a feeling heís just takes this stuff a little too seriously even though he says he doesnít. His behavior online doesnít suggest that.

But Iím sorry I donít feel an ounce of guilt over anything this website has ever said about any member of the band. We have been here through bad and good for 20 freaking years, and this music has been part of our lives for probably 40 years for most of us, years before he was born. All of us have spent our money to keep the site alive and to support this band. I certainly donít need Wolfgangís validation to make me feel like Iím a real fan or a fan that cares. I know what I am. The fact that Wolfgang doesnít like the site shouldnít be anything new to you guys. Weíve been ignored by the band for 20 years. It doesnít change anything for me, Iím still a Van Halen fan.

I guess you guys need to decide how much it matters to you that Wolfgang doesnít like the site. I donít think weíre any worse than any other Van Halen outlet but apparently he doesnít agree. Heís wrong. But oh well.

Sure some mean things are said about him, and that must be hard and yes much of it is undeserved. Unfortunately that is part of being famous these days and it is easy to tell someone to not take that kind of thing seriously but much harder to live with it. He chose the life he has tho..chose to join his father's band and if celebrity is too difficult for him, I hope he makes choices that make him happier. He should be proud that places like this that are dedicated to his fathers music exist.

This, he doesn't get to play innocent victim.

He goes after people for no fucking reason on social media himself, people that were simply showing interest in him and what he was doing, and he's an absolute ass to people. Are people shitty to him undeservedly? Yes, but if it offended him so much, maybe he shouldn't exhibit the same behaviors.

I'll still support him because he's Ed's kid, but as usual, he comes off as extremely sensitive.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

I don't get the whole "I'll still support him".

    Why?
