I’m just not sure that’s true. I understand why people think it, but I think people always think things are getting worse and yet they’re always getting better.

There are things I don’t like, like the financial situation here in the US. On the other hand, we’ve got so few actual problems these days, we’re arguing about using “Latinx” and our poor are obese.

Crime is largely lower than 25 years ago and we have tech advancements... But this country is on its last leg I think.

A country being full of obese people is a problem. A country with that sort of problem can't thrive in the long term.

People focusing on petty issues is not a sign that things are going great and people have to make shit up to be angry about. It is understandable that a lot of people think that... But the country is built like a stack of cards.

The country has a maxed credit card, but refuses to address it. Is that real success?

More and more people believe and expect the state to protect them. People blame everyone but themselves for their failures... Either government (cause it didn't do enough for them) or their parents failed them. Whatever.

It's always something or someone else that should have done more for them.
