On point 2, sure you could keep taxes as they are and double the debt inside of 4 years, that's an option i guess. Don't think either party would do that.

On point 1, America has steadily decreased her dependence on foreign oil over the past 15 or so years. It's a good thing.

We will see. Trump ran as anti-war and wasnít.

Biden ran on ďIím not TrumpĒ and his record isnít great. Iím hopeful he did learn from Iraq, but not stupid enough to bank on it.

I donít think America would stand for it with whatís going on.

I'd say if you look at who they vote into congress for 20-30 years they are way past idiots. Just think about local government elected people who make Maxine Waters look like Einstein.

    Iím just not that pessimistic.

I think politics just donít matter for most people. HLf the people donít even vote. Of the other half, I donít think most people are partisan or even have a well-thought out ideology.

I think most people lean a bit to one side or the other and vote based upon how things are going and how they feel about the candidate.

Which, if I had my way, would be fine because the President shouldnít really matter all that much.

As far as Congress, people disapprove of Congress at like a 90% rate, but they always think one congressperson is doing wellótheirs.

And over the last 20 years or so, that can be explained by the Speaker having total control and your representative just chalks those things up to that. They vote along party lines and that often makes the average person happy in that gerrymandered district.

I donít think itís that people are dumb. I used to, but not anymore.

I'm not just talking politically here. This country is a mess in almost everyway.

    Politics, culture, health, priorities.

    A real mess.

Iím just not sure thatís true. I understand why people think it, but I think people always think things are getting worse and yet theyíre always getting better.

There are things I donít like, like the financial situation here in the US. On the other hand, weíve got so few actual problems these days, weíre arguing about using ďLatinxĒ and our poor are obese.

Well, he's not President yet. The one we have now is obese and can't walk down a ramp without holding someone's hand. We definitely need some younger blood in the WH.
