I don't think we are going to see anyone from the senate or the house get named to the cabinet at least until we see what happens with the Georgia run off. The DNC is not going to want Biden to do anything that triggers a special election. Plus they've already unexpectedly loss ground in the house. When Katie Hill of CA resigned in 2019 she was replaced with a Republican in a very tight race separated by only a few hundred votes. At this point they would be wise to worry about the mid terms and not muck about pulling anyone from Congress into the Biden White House

Harris's seat in the Senate will be filled by Newsome and it is unlikely that he would name one of the California House Reps and the Latino community is lobbying hard for the spot. After that the seat comes up for an election in 2022. He is under pressure to make the pick a "historic" one but he also has to look a electability
