OK, I'm still more curious about why the Pentagon advised as they did whether it was once or several times.

I think more likely than not there was a previous balloon since there is tracking data over the south from Texas to Florida of it. Regardless Trump, Biden or any other president why is the Pentagon advising let it go over mainland? Can shoot it down over water in the pacific before hand. While Biden completely botched the optics PR wise I am still more curious about the recommendation itself.
I actually give credit to Trump if there was and it did not leak. Spy vs spy shit shouldn't be public. Regardless the policy emanated from the Pentagon so why? Also if we have tracking data in retrospect with previous but did NOT in real time then how the hell did we miss it in real time? So beyond Biden doing shitty PR there are bigger questions for the Pentagon to answer that may or may not be a bigger concern.

So what’s coming out now is that there were two prior balloons last February. And then three additional ones during Trump.

NORAD didn’t catch them at the time. But with additional forensics, we now know it happened. And we’ve reached out to former officials for briefings on it.

The reason we let it happen was that we hadn’t detected it before, it wasn’t a threat, and it allowed us to find out exactly what it is and does to fix that “domain awareness gap.”

If you accept current story wjy did they not detect earlier and why admit it acknowledging a hole in the detection system?

I hope there is another reason they just do not want to disclose because I can not imagine previous ones were not detected.

If you can't detect a balloon while its traversing, how in the hell are you going to go back in time to view the data that never existed in the first place? Especially if its 2 plus years old You think we are archiving 2 plus years of NORAD data for the entire continental United States? Then on top of it, somebody is going to go through said footage piece by piece, Site by site Cross referfence every airplane, anomaly in the sky and then go "Excuse me sir....we have three unidentified objects the size of three buses. WE don't know what the fuck it is. "


How in the hell do they know its Chinese 3 years after the fact? You have data signatures. Its not like we have video evidence and you can see "Not a spy balloon on the side" I know DD has his sources. That's fine.

The United States governement reviewed at least months if not years of archived data from NORAD and cross refernced every flight and discovered that three balloons had drifted over the Contentanal United States. Depsite not having video proof, they can determine that these baloons were in fact Chinese balloons. Meanwhile three years later our NORAD systems failed to detect this baloon until somebody in Montana saw it up in the sky. They originally claimed this happened under Trump but now have said Trump and his security team didn't know about it and it was only found out later. Then we have our Press Secretaries performance yesterday. Oh and the BIden admin also was trying to hide this so Blinken could go do his China trip and covered up on that

I go with Option 2. Despite everybody's trust in the Biden Administration.

Over 100 groups back Manchin, GOP plan to block Biden’s ‘woke’ ESG investing rule

Biden admin is setting ESG standard that will affect retirement investments of 152M Americans

More than 100 conservative leaders and groups organized by former Vice President Mike Pence's political advocacy group are backing a new resolution from Sen. Mike Braun, R-Ind., and Rep. Andy Barr, R-Ky., that would block a move by the Biden administration to promote a "woke capital agenda."

Last week, every Republican senator and West Virginia Democrat Joe Manchin introduced legislation that they hope will terminate a new Department of Labor rule that allows retirement plan managers to factor environment, social and governance (ESG) issues into investment decisions, which they say "politicizes" the retirement savings for 152 million Americans.

Advancing American Freedom (AAF) Executive Director Paul Teller wrote a letter, first obtained by Fox News Digital and signed by the heads of more than 100 conservative groups, urging Congress to rollback Biden's "politically inappropriate" and "financially irresponsible" rule.

"According to research from the University of Chicago, mutual funds scoring highly on ESG factors are constantly outperformed by funds rated lowest for ESG," the letter states. "Moreover, 85 percent of the country does not even know what ‘ESG’ is, and therefore would not be aware of the financial risks their retirement account managers are subjecting them to when they actively pursue ESG investment decisions."

A recent study conducted by UCLA and NYU agreed with the finding that while ESG standards are increasingly used by investors and asset managers to guide their decision-making, they often underperform compared to the broader market.

"The woke capital agenda of the Biden administration needs to be cast aside for commonsense policies that protect American retirees," AAF founder Pence told Fox News Digital. "The American people deserve accountability for their hard-earned savings and reassurance that the encroaching of ESG is overturned."

AAF also announced it's third "Future of Freedom" legislative agenda series, which includes targeting ESG and empowering Americans to ensure their retirement plans are well protected.

The letter urged Congress to overturn the Biden administration's rule through the Congressional Review Act. Under that law, joint resolutions that disapprove of a regulation must come up for a vote and be used to eliminate regulations if passed by both the House and Senate. Supporters of the resolution expect at least one more Democrat to support it, allowing it to pass in the Senate.

"We, the undersigned organizations and officials, are calling on every member of the United States Congress to support these resolutions and stop Biden’s ideological embezzling of Americans’ retirement accounts," the letter read.


The conservative organizations that signed onto the letter included Heritage Action, America First Policy Institute, Americans for Prosperity, Americans for Tax Reform, Climate Science Coalition of America, Club for Growth, Fair Energy Foundation, Faith & Freedom Coalition and the Foundation for Government Accountability.

The state treasurers of Arizona, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Utah and West Virginia also signed it.


Republican and Democrat lawmakers in recent weeks have been targeting the Biden administration's ESG investment priorities, and they are warning Americans that these priorities may be working against their financial goals.

A group of 25 states last month filed a federal lawsuit over the rule, which Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes said would put millions of Americans' safety net retirement plans "at risk."
