One of those albums where pretty much every song is a radio staple. I don't think any other Van Halen achieved that.

I wish I had VH1 on vinyl still. And a turntable... That's how I'll always remember their first few albums and, for me, that's how they sound best.

I think I own 06 or 07 VH's debut on vinyl, man. Most are brazilian versions and there is this Argentine one with everything in Spanish, including the titles. I love it! Anytime you want any of them, my friend! I used to own the cassette as well, but I can't find it now. Only 1984, 5150 and OUtake12.

The impact the first record had....specifically the impact of Eddies guitar playing was monumental. It literally stopped people in their tracks. Reading through so many of the tribute magazines...and your hear so many accomplished guitarist who played the first record when it came out...asking... how does he do that.... is that even a guitar. Not many records changed everything. The first VH record most definitely did !!
