Wasn't there also a dust-up between Sharon and Iron Maiden when they were part of Ozzfest one year? I seem to recall some animosity between the 2 parties.

Supposedly, Sharon was pissed that Bruce Dickenson had repeatedly "dissed" Ozzy through the tour. It came to a head at the Devore Ozzfest show which was the last date Iron Maiden supported. Sharon and her daughter (Meg?) were up front during Iron Maiden's set and they handed out dozens of eggs to some people up front and pelted Dickenson. They also repeatedly cut the power during Maiden's set and played a recorded "Ozzy Ozzy Ozzy!" chant several times through Maiden's set.

Cool story about Bruce. Told to me by my college roommate and had a pic to prove it. So he had a scholarship to OSU for fencing. Sword play not the urban legend where two guys smack their erect....uhhh anyway he used to enter amateur tournaments and one time he went against a guy he never heard of. Guy already had his mask on and everything. Gets beat then afterwards they remove masks and its Bruce who entered the tournament under an alias. Anyway my roommate loved metal and obviously knew who he was. Somebody had a camera and took a pic. Happened sometime in 87 or before then. Been too long to remember much more.

Dickinson didn't specifically diss Ozzy at all, he took shots at reality TV shows in general, which of course The Osbournes were doing around that time.
Sharon took it as a direct sleight towards them, hence the despicable behavior at this show.

The Dickinson book was so dull.

band, that influenced a gazillion artists, but their respective books focus on flying planes & fishing.

I complained about Halford's book kind of putting Priest in the background a bit, but at least
his was entertaining.
It wasn't easy being a gay man in the late 70's & 80's, and he had to plot and plan for every
blowjob he received.

It sounds like im taking the piss, but it was more interesting than reading:
The left wing had to be calibrated in sync with the right, but there lay the challenge.
To repair the loose oscillator we had to remove the belly of the plane, to find the culprit.

Lol twice I’ve played tennis with Adrian Smith. A local club pro sets up a lesson/hitting session with him when the band comes to town.

He’s not bad, only played doubles against him.
