Curious on the "Van Halen" sign in the concrete at Pasadena - is there another one.

With all of the tributes at physical sites occurring in Eddie's memory I decided to look through my old photos when I visited USA from Australia back in 2007. At the time I was given a location on Allen Ave to find where the Brother's scratched their name into the concrete where they lived locally. I was told it was near this liquor store. See the photos attached. The scrawl I found is obviously very different to the one where people are placing tributes. For one, mine is agains the wall of the building while the tribute one is on the gutter. They look eerily similar. Could they have done 2? Or is mine a fake? Or is the one where people are paying tributes a fake? hmmmm

They could have done it in multiple places. But the only one I knew about that was confirmed, was on the curb out front of their childhood home.

I've just compared both locations. It is the same store and same location although under a different name now. Either I walked over the gutter to the one on the wall and didn't see the one people are laying tributes at (unlikely but i am a bit thick) or it wasn't there and has since been put there and the one I photographed was. Again this was in 2007.

I saw the same one at the shop front in 2012. It looks older and more worn than the one in the curb they have been showing lately...There's a photo in a old issue of the Inside that I'll check later...

Thanks i'd appreciate that. I'd hate to have to fly another 13000 miles to get the right photo

So I found the issue of The Inside it is on the curb but looks like they wrote it in a few spots out the front of the store.

When I went in 2012 we took a photo of the one that you also did closer to the window of the Liquor store.

Does anyone know the name of the Liquor store where the memorial has been set up just to check we were at the right location ?

It used to be E&D Liquor (when I as there). It is now M&S Liquor

there is a 15 acre lot across street from my house that is being turned into a 57 house neighborhood and when i came home there was fresh curbs done so i did this, was basically pitch black dark when I did it, think it will be there in 40 years?
