Our hearts' are with you Wolf, Al, and Janie; blessings upon you all.

The amount of sadness and joy that will be competing with each other in all of us if they release an album of new songs (from ADKOT sessions or whatever) will be mind-boggling.

I'm just grateful for what we have.
I was never a big fan of Wolf joining the band, but I realize how special it was for Ed and Wolf to play together. Given the way things are now, I guess that's fairly trivial in the overall scheme of things.
I'm genuinely happy for Wolf that he got to play on stage with his dad, that's something he will always cherish.
I do wish Mike had the opportunity for another go round, but it's comforting to know bridges were mended.
“And what we have at our fingertips is arguably one of the greatest high tenor voices ever – that was in Michael Anthony. In our tiny little corner of the universe, that voice is as identifiable as the high voice in Earth, Wind & Fire, as identifiable as the high voice in the Beach Boys. Van Halen is an indelicate house blend of both – that’s intentionally. So I would always look forward to that reunion.” - David Lee Roth

To answer the question posed, I am way more sympathetic now. I had a pretty bad attitude toward the band's wasted years but now that's water under the bridge. I'm satisfied with what we got and the joy I derive from the existing catalog. That's not to say I wouldn't love to have a bunch of demos released from the vaults.

The Lakers did it right. Kudos to the front office. Most teams would be focusing on adding that third star. A bench that can play is even better. Something I thought the Nets should did as well.
