Probably not permanent, but they use channel 27 for artist channels, they’ve done it a few times with Springsteen, Billy a Joel, Elton John, I wouldn’t be surprised if it got that treatment every October for awhile

I hope he's got a lot more to say outside of: "it's been a great, long, ride."

I dunno if it's because I have been hit very hard this year, or if it's because EVH's presence and music meant a lot to me, but his passing hasn't been easy. He deserves to be remembered properly.

Why don’t you think Ed has been remembered properly? Sirius has dedicated an entire channel to Van Halen’s music for a couple weeks. People all over the rock world have expressed deep sadness and huge admiration. Their music was being revived on iTunes charts. People have been leaving makeshift memorials. I don’t know what more you can expect. I don’t think we’re going to get a national holiday for him, but apart from that he has been remembered very nicely.

I’m not quite sure what you are expecting. It has been a pretty big deal the last couple weeks. This has been the worst year ever for a lot of us. I lost my father earlier this year, it just sucks.

Why don’t you think Ed has been remembered properly? .

I was only referring to DLR's brief statement "it's been a great long ride."

As you noted, many people have come forth with anecdotes about what a humble, warm, and welcoming, man EVH was.

I hope that the overwhelming sense of gratitude and love that everyone's expressed has comforted the Van Halen's, even if only to a tiny degree. I hope that Wolf recognizes that, to the people who love and appreciate music, Van Halen wasn't simply a matter of: "I was listening to Panama when I lost my virginity;" his Dad was recognized by most fans, as a man that left a lasting impact upon the world.

This has been the worst year ever for a lot of us. I lost my father earlier this year, it just sucks.

I am genuinely sorry for your loss Brett. This has been a helluva year.

They mentioned it was filmed over the summer. It also brought up the tweet that Dave put out too.

There is a reason DLR hasn't said much.

He's gutted and doesn't know what to say.

Al and DLR are very private, they don't owe us public comments, I am sure they both feel rudderless at this point and don't know what to say.
