What will become of Ed's company?
The website has this up:
RIP EDDIE VAN HALEN
Posted on October 6, 2020 by Chrissy Mauck
Legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen passed away this morning at the age of 65, following a hard-fought battle with cancer.
“I can’t believe I’m having to write this, but my father, Edward Lodewijk Van Halen, has lost his long and arduous battle with cancer this morning,” wrote his son, Wolf Van Halen, in a social media post. “He was the best father I could ever ask for. Every moment I’ve shared with him on and off stage was a gift. My heart is broken and I don’t think I’ll ever fully recover from this loss. I love you so much, Pop.”
The revolutionary and trailblazing guitarist was a longtime valued business partner, innovative collaborator and treasured friend to those of us at EVH and FMIC.
“We are heartbroken by this devastating loss, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family,” said VP Jeff Cary. “We will miss his warm hugs, double-cheek kisses, his humor, the videos or photos he would proudly share of his son, Wolfie, and his tendency to call it like it was. Eddie, thank you for the otherworldly musical legacy you have left behind. We will cherish it, and our memories of you forever. RIP.”
Fender Musical Instruments Corp. CEO Andy Mooney also shared his personal thoughts of the one-of-a-kind guitarist:
“The news of Eddie Van Halen’s passing today still seems unreal. Eddie was gracious enough to spend time with me at the studio in his home in L.A. in 2015, not long after I joined Fender. Eddie was prepping for Van Halen’s tour that year. I was in awe. We talked for hours. I watched him play in Arizona on the 2015 tour. Eddie was at the top of his game.
“Eddie’s singularly inventive style inspired an entire generation of players. He innovated not only in how he played but what he played and what he played through. He created some of the greatest guitars and amps the world has seen and heard.
“Eddie will be sorely missed by his legion of fans, as well as the many people at Fender and FMIC he worked with over the years and inspired in so many ways, myself included. Personally, I’ll miss his Christmas cards.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to Eddie’s family and friends at this time.”

The company is its own profit generating entity under the Fender umbrella. It was never really “Eddie’s company”.
It’s not going anywhere, nor should it.

My man, when you are fantasizing, don't go for attainable, you can get attainable at the local Applebee's. - Dave's Dreidel

Ok. Then will they stay close to the current product line, or will we see doubleneck Wolfgangs, new pedals, etc.?

Nothing will happen to the company. First of all, I’m pretty sure Wolf now controls it. And if he doesn’t, Janie or Alex has a hand in it. It’s a pretty safe bet that there are contingencies in place for any eventuality.

I’m pretty sure that Wolf has a ton of control and influence now on what is done with his father’s name.

They’ll continue to innovate for as long as there is demand for EVH stuff, which will likely be for a long time to come. While I know the guitars are met with mixed reactions (I love mine) but the amps are universally acclaimed.
As others have said, EVH most likely had plans in place for who would take over his aspects of the company whether it’s his business partners or Wolf/Al. They’ll do what they can to keep building Ed’s legacy for future generations who unfortunately never got to see him play, but discover him and get inspired to try out a guitar.
