Yeah I believe that. I remember the HFT cocktease of '04. Eddie would play the intro sometimes during his solo in '88, too.

It's like Diane coming back to do some Cheers reunion table reads and people getting upset that they don't do any Rebecca episodes.

2004 Tour was strange for a number of reasons ..lol..

Philly, Pa June 17, 2004..... They tried Runnin With the Devil in full for the first time since 1989 (not counting the intro tease on 10/30/95). Went about as well as you would expect.

When Mike sang and Sammy did backups instead of SGMAD the crowd didn't go nuts?

Also strange is that they did FWYS...one time. Still can't believe that wasn't a staple.

I remember them doing a Runnin' With the Devil tease in 95 at Jones Beach. They launched into the intro, place went ape shit, and they stopped. Ed also threw in that Mean Streets riff tease during his solo. Man, it suuuuuuuuucked. Lol You wanted SO badly to hear those tunes. What was cool in that period was they used to do some covers...Rockin' in the Free World, Crossroads, Mississippi Queen, etc and they were fantastic. Really, really cool to experience live. But, I never understood why they wouldn't replace those covers with actual Van Halen songs like 5150 or Summer Nights or something. I always hoped and prayed for those two back then. Oh, well. In the next life. 🙏

My attitude with humanity changes. Right now I'm in the "what'd you expect?" phase. So this doesn't surprise me at all. People are people. It's what you get when extremely flawed creatures have the power to basically speak to everyone on the planet with the click of a button. There's an extreme lack of manners in the world today along with a huge amount of personal immediate judgement. Dangerous stuff.

As Jack said to Ken in one of my favorite movies, Thirteen Days, "there's a lotta noise out there Kenny...".

Lol, my cousin and I were there. Best moment of the night honestly. Fuckin Sam lol. Not that it would be in his wheelhouse vocally, but still wouldve been awesome to see it live back then.
