I reported an article on FB that was supposedly Ed's last words or something like that. Turns out it was an ad for CBD.

In my line of work, CBD is no bueno. Don't get me wrong. If you legitimately need it, and it's legal for you, then ok. If you don't, that's another story. But that's not the point here.

Either way, advertising like that is pure bullshit.

I reported a similar ad that said Ed’s will has a gift for all his fans and it was CBD oil.
I don’t know anything about it, but I knew that was BS, how these companies are allowed to do that is beyond me

Van Halen as a band is finished, no reincarnation of any sort. As fans we just have to deal with it as we still have the music, videos and memories of the great Edward Lodewijk Van Halen.

Watching a tribute video of Van Halen’s “Dreams”

    My son walks in..

    “Daddy...”

    “Yes son”?

    “I like this song”

Me: what do you like about the song?

My son: when they sing HIGHER AND HIGHER STRAIGHT UP WE’ll CLIMB

Me: how do you feel when you hear the song??

    My son: happy and sad

    Omg

    I’m gonna lose it

They were equally unbelievable in NYC. That was the second loudest and responsive crowd I ever saw in my dozens of VH concerts. Every classic song they launched into the energy built up and up like a wave until the finale of "I'm the One". I was on the floor by Eddie and I remember a surge toward the stage as that riff kicked in. It was one of the most memorable moments of a VH show for me. Eddie was like a man possessed. He had not played like that since the 80s and quite honestly, hadn't quite reached that same level of intensity and kineticism since. It was nothing less than one of those moments in life that you thank God you were there for.

There is a Pittsburgh (Burgettstown right outside of Pittsbugh, technically) bootleg which I have the audio but the one on the radio/the popular one was Hershey, which was the next show or the one after that. I went to both so I know 100% for sure.

The bootlegs/import CDs/YouTube clips since then have all been labeled incorrectly as "Pittsburgh" though. Hershey's like 4 hours away from us.

CBD companies are unscrupulous. (Not ALL but a great many) They have a marketing scheme of attaching their product to famous people without consent. I suspect they are not even USA companies. Not all that uncommon as they close up shop, change location, name, etc... and bolt before they can be sued for the profits made. Last one I recall was Tom Hanks. But taking advantage of a dead celebrity? Special place in hell for that person or people... The shit Wolf and his legal team will have to go through because of people like this is sickening. ]

One huge thing Gary had going for him was the legions of fans starved to hear the Dave era catalog again after so many years of just Jump, Panama and the occasional HFT. (For the most part.) His ability and willingness to sing those songs brought back a lot of emotion and how most of us became fans.

Oh, I agree. And, I think Ed also REALLY wanted to play those songs, too. If you have a hot car you don't want to keep it in the garage forever. That show, that tour, Eddie was in love with what he was playing. His attack, speed, energy, it was all there. Needle on the record. That old sound. The whining scream of those highs with the phase 90 that you really hear on Romeo Delight and Feel Your Love Tonight, etc. It was GLORIOUS.

There were a ton of old songs they never touched during the Hagar era played on this tour, and that was awesome! Same bitch (one of several) I have about the Dave reunion, too much of the history of the band ignored.
    SOME VH LINKS CLASSICS

"Sammy is fat, Dave is bald, Mike is next in line to be the Pope, Eddie is a drunk, Wolfie is fat, Gary is gay, CVH is VH, Mike is VH, Sammy can outsing Dave on a tequilla hangover, Eddie is a meth head, How Many Say I is the worst VH song ever, Up for Breakfast is a close second, Dave was horrible at radio and everybody hates the assless chaps.
Ok I think that covers everything." Ziggysmalls
