Yep- I figured some folks might not have heard them yet so figured worth posting was going to find the old thread but the Christine 16 demo can hardly tell at all Ed & Al are playing but this one can hear for sure just listen to the solo....there's 1 more...Tunnel Of Love...but the YT channel will probably upload next I'm guessing....but initially hugely underwhelming after so many years wondering....kinda thought they'd sound more exciting...but nope...not so.

My last show was in that same exact spot, right in front of his mic. Ed was about 8 feet in front of us all night. I had actually decided against going to see them on that tour for the first time in my life. I figured with no new album and having seen the previous two tours with Dave, it would be pretty much a repeat. But, I was surprised by my sister with tickets that she lucked into. And, there we were within arm's distance of Eddie all night. The show was great. Eddie was Eddie. I got to see him do the last Eddie jump I'll ever see. It was awesome. But, I definitely felt a sense of finality. In some way I felt this was it. This was the last time with my old friends. I took as much in as I could. Marking little moments. Eddie waved at us with a smile, wink and a thumbs up as he walked off. I can still see him, just a few feet away. I watched until he disappeared from view behind the stage because I knew in my bones I'd never see him play again. I didn't know it would come to THIS end. But, after decades of Van Halen concerts, I had never felt the way I did that night. Thrilled by the show but an undercurrent of sadness because I was certain it was the last. And, I will be forever grateful that my last Van Halen concert, which I had decided against even getting tickets to, ended up being eye to eye with the only real person I would have ever called "hero". I thank God, the universe and my sister. It was a providential kindness.

People might not like this, but I gotta admit I fucking love this song. Even Mitch is good on it, but Ed and Al sound so good here. But the behind the scenes clips of Ed, Al, and Mike at some press conference, the clips with Ed wearing the blue flannel shirt and smiling and joking for the crowd, just get to me.

At the end, somebody throws a couple of yellow objects at Ed, who shows Al and they both get a good laugh. Anybody have any idea what the guy threw to Ed?

My cousin and I were talking last night. He said music is dead to him now. I kind of agree, there just isn't shit for new music anymore. The only thing I'm looking forward to is Wolf's album. Still difficult for my cousin and I to reconcile we will never get to go to another VH concert...

I'm so glad that I decided to take my wife to their 2nd to last show ever at the Hollywood Bowl on 10/2/15. I had taken a customer to see them on 7/14/15 at Irvine Meadows. Two awesome shows with amazing set lists (thank you, Wolfgang) that I will never forget.

The setlists for all 3 tours with Dave and Wolf were terrific. Deep cuts and classics neglected for far too long on each tour.

I thought it was a small paperback book.

The smile on Alex's face at 1:47 is one of the most natural smiles I've ever seen him give, you know vs. a forced smile, when simply mugging for the camera...
