VH Fans- Why?

What is it with VH fans on the net?

Why so hellbent on the David/Sammy differance in the band. We all know the vocalists are important & changed the dynamics of the band.

But- It occurred to me I very much love the Black Sabbath 1000 times more with the late great Ronnie James Dio.

Plenty of other acts changed vocalists. Deep Purple. Rainbow. You need a scorecard to keep track. But rareley ever notice any fan input griping incessantuly over the lead vocalists.

But- VH???.....It is still an ongoing thing amongst fans posting on the net.

Why is VH's lineup changes so different where fans still to this day adamantly feel it necessary to commentl. Even the logo's incite vehement chaotic diologue & childish commentary.

What gives?

Maybe it's because there IS a vast difference between singers and the change did have an effect on the dynamics of the band and its music.

I do believe the Sam v Dave thing has become a bit of a parody now so many years later.

I like ALL Van Halen but prefer the original lineup the most. They were raw, heavy and they dominated. And I believe those songs have held up the best all these years later.

It’s pretty simple. It all starts with how the bandmembers have treated each other. They pretty much forced a decision to be made amongst the fans. They are to blame for the discord in the fanbase. Think about this. These are grown man entering their 70s who still can’t talk to each other civilly or deal with each other like grown-ups. And then you expect the fans to?

I promise you when one of them has gone they will regret their behavior for the rest of their lives. They are all men who have meant so much to each other’s success, but are so blinded by egos, old arguments, and stupid feuds that they can’t even see clearly enough to make amends even now.

The fans’ behavior is a direct result of the drama inside the band. If the bandmembers treated each other with respect, I think the fans would treat each other the same way. The band itself isn’t a happy family, how can they expect the fans to be?

This has nothing to do with music and hasn’t for a long time. It has nothing to do with what music has held up better, or when Ed’s guitar sounded better, or how Dave’s voice is lousy now. Has nothing to do with any of that. It has to do with the way the bandmembers treat each other pure and simple, and how they forced us to pick sides.
