I canít imagine anything will change. I think the effects of whatís going on this year could last forever. This has been the worst year for just like everything personally and as a society.

Looking forward to the games tomorrow. Hoping my Vikes beat the cheese heads to open Week 1. I'm glad Cook got his extension. I'm excited, also, to see certain players adjust to new teams.

Hey, take that shit to the NFL thread...oh, wait, never mind.

Yes, I'm looking forward to the games tomorrow as well! Hoping the season gets played in its entirety.

I'm sure that people saw them doing some strange new protest thing again before a game and were like; "Oh fuck, here we go AGAIN! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

It is easy after the fact for outside observers to say that what the players did was more tasteful than some other stuff we've seen and so people shouldn't have boo'd, but that is just Monday morning QB stuff (or rather Friday morning as it was).

So people saying they'd never have boo'd 'cause it wasn't so bad were not there at the time and have the luxury of hindsight to now construct and express their socially acceptable and self-affirming opinions about it on the interwebs.

I'm glad the Packers beat the shit out of the Vikings today. Some people think calling people from Wisconsin Cheesheads is an insult. Like I said years ago... we laugh at you!
1-0. Rodgers and the offense looked awesome. The time of possession is ridiculous. Lmao!
    Just go for it!

I know some people have soured on the NFL and sports in general, but I’m glad to have ‘em back. It’s not always about the teams either - I like hanging out with guys like Jim Nantz and Tony Romo for a few hours, too. I even like listening to some of the announcers that others aren’t so fond of.

Surprised that I was able to watch the a Patriots as I imagine there are no blackout rules this year and so I figured the Jaguars would be on. Good start for both teams.

Brady and the Bucs, not so much.

I liked hanging out with Dan Fouts and his old school stories. His replacement Charles Davis is so so not as bad as Booger . No old all pros/hofers in the booth anymore. Senior fans have been disinfranchised.

We had old friends over for burgers, beer, and football. Sitting in the back yard watching the game. Overall a pretty sedate time, until my wife while politely chatting and keeping an eye on the screen, in mid-conversation screams YEAH! when the Cowboys scored a touchdown (relax, she’s a born and bred Texan). She startled not I only me, (I wasn’t paying that much attention to the game), but our friends too....my girl is a Football fan

    I hate the Cowboys.

Nice win for the Rams last night in their new stadium. My older daughter was going to take my to the Motley Crue/Def Leppard/Poison/Joan Jett concert there back on 9/5, but, of course it was cancelled. Thanks, China ...

    That stadium is awesome.

I’m not much of a Cowboy’s fan...that has mostly to do with the peeps I served in Air Force with constantly calling them “America’s Team” they’d routinely be out sick the Monday or Tuesday after a loss, and they would be insufferable after a win. These Air Force peeps and the Jerry Jones pretty much soured me on that team.
