Grocery stores can sell whatever they want, Hope they're not shocked when a percentage of their customers disappear.

Im more concerned w govt trying to decide winners w EV subsidies. Mr. Market will sort this grocery store strategy. Earnings drop shareholders will force a change. They find they up margins to a niche in the market they will run with it and expand it. How the market should function not sure why anyone if not a Lidl shoppers cares either way. If the vegans can make money then go grab that bag with those pale weak hands.

I know Biden and others were touting the economic numbers the other day. That said yesterday was the first time in my life two of our local energy companies have bill assistment commericals on the air. Due to the high prices, inflation, food, etc. People are having issues paying their heat.

    Good times ahead.

Local paper today says Economic Outlook for PA looks poor. But yet no change in Harrisburg or DC.

My own family will be ok I think. We're basically debt free and have secure jobs. But those secure jobs will result in 2% raises during 6.5% inflation, so not good. But anyone with a variable mortgage, or a mortgage about to renew, or with big other debt, or on an fixed income, or living cheque to cheque is kind of fucked this year. That's most people unfortunately.

I have 3 girls in my house. I was fucked from the onset. I just spent 380 bucks for a week of groceries. Seriously. I have the receipt.

    Thanks Biden.

380 is pretty much our weekly grocery budget. Food costs gotta be up 15% year over year.

You know, it’s really not the sticker shock on all items. Eggs are an exception but it just feels like I’m being nickel and dimed.

.25 cents here, .10 cents there. Shit adds up. Coke and drinks have really shot up.

I changed grocery stores for most stuff a few months back. Going to a no frills place (that's actually the name). I was ok spending a bit extra, but the place we used to go to seemed to be increasing the cost of items on a monthly basis. The thing that gets me is we do well compared to the average family and I had enough by the fall. What are people who were already broke doing?
