This is an interesting issue. Not sure it's the right move for Disney as I think most people that have Disney+ (like me) won't pay the premium to get Mulan, we'll just wait til it's on regular Disney+, but I get why they are doing it this way. Who the hell is taking their kids to a movie theater these days?

maybe I'd consider it if they lowered the ridiculous prices they charge for any kind of snack or drink, I mean c'mon you've been soaking the public for decades and now you come asking us to help you so you can keep fucking us on concession prices? no ah ah.

That cinema you have in town is so drastically different from the ones here in San Antonio.

Pre-Covid, I’d prefer to go to an Alamo Draft House. Nothing better then getting a beer and burger delivered to your seat

Yeah I get that, I’ve even said something similar about Tom Cruise movies, I’ve mostly held true, but I’m gonna make an exception for the Top Gun Sequel.

what do you think is their profit margin on that stuff? I can get the candy they sell in the boxes at kroger for a buck. it's at least 8 bucks for one at the theater. I mean c'mon.

They make a nice chunk of their revenue at the concession stand. Last i saw about 80% of the money spent there is profit.

Drive-Ins are back here. Quite a few opened last year and have been thriving since Covid.
