Default Name the rock, hard rock, metal groups that have changed lead singers and their music

Can you name rock, hard rock, or metal groups that have not only changed lead singers
but also the sound of their music?

I'll start. Besides Van Halen, i'll go with The Doobie Brothers.

I don't think a lack of new music is Arnel's fault. Rather a reflection on Neal and Jonathans lack of creative juices. Who knows, Arnel can sing his ass off though.

I think they were more diverse with Bon, seriously. Stuff like Ride On, Gone Shootin. Whats Next To The Moon, Soul Stripper, etc.

I don't know, it seemed after awhile, a lot of the Brian stuff really blended together. There's only so much they could do with those 3 or 4 chords.

Anthrax. I actually like a lot of the John Bush stuff. The song "Black Loge" was a huge departure for them.

Iron Maiden and Judas Priest - Although the late 90's singers short tenures weren't a big change musically for the bands, the quality sure dropped off from the "classic" Dickenson/Halford eras.

That's a fair assessment. Always liked Ride On & Gone Shootin' as unique songs in their canon.

Me too. Gone Shootin is in my top 5 AC/DC tunes ever, maybe even #1. Brian is cool, but Bon was the Man. Unique voice, great lyricist, awesome performer. My 2nd favorite frontman of all time behind Dave.

Ripper era Priest was certainly a change musically. I don't think there's a song on either Jugulator or Demolition that's in standard tuning. Almost all of it was a full step down & some of it was a full step down with a dropped C. The 1998, 2001 & 2002 tours were all a whole step down. Never understood why. Ripper had the pipes to do the Halford songs in their original keys.
