Default A partial list of Van Halen's unreleased studio tracks

Its no secret all of us want unreleased studio tracks by Van Halen. Below is a list of unreleased tracks that I know were recorded. Some of these tracks were re-worked and made into something else. I have NO DOUBT that i'm missing many other unreleased tracks. Feel free to add them in your replies. And, if I'm wrong about anything I posted, let me know.

    -1984-
    5150 Special
    Anytime, Any place
    Eat Thy Neighbor
    Anything To Make It Right
    Baritone Slide
    Forget 1
    Lie To You

    -5150-
I Want Some Action - (Later recorded and reworked by Steve Lukather. New title: Twist The Knife)

    -OU812-
    Numb To The Touch

    -FUCK-
    You Never Know
    The Wish
Backdoor Shuffle - (Recorded and reworked as Can't Get This Stuff No More)

    -BALANCE-
Crossing Over (Released as a B side and on the Japanese version of album)
Out of the Ether - aka Hendrix Jam
    I Remember
    Backdoor Shuffle

Between Us Two (Not sure which album this track was meant to be on)

    -VAN HALEN III-
    That's Why I Love You
    Blood From a Rock
It's Not Over 'til It's Over
    Why? Because Why

-GARY CHERONE SECOND ALBUM w/ Van Halen
    Left for Dead
    River Wide
    Say Uncle
    You Wear it Well
    More Than Yesterday
    I Don't Miss You...Much
    Love Again
    Comfortably Dumb
    Miss You Much
From Here, Where Do We Go?
    Rock & Roll Cliche
    I Want Her Anyway

    -MITCH MALLOY-
It's the Right Time (Not sure if you'd consider this official Van Halen)
"Dave is Dave's biggest fan and Dave is most impressed by Dave."

It's the Right Time and That's Why I Love You ... They do have a lot stuff in common.
Can't say 100% they are the SAME song, but they do share lots of similarities.

Between Us Two and Learning to See ... I remember reading that they ARE the same song with different lyrics.

Eat Thy Neighbor and Summer Nights ... I also remember reading something about Dave and the few rehearsals he went to over 5150 in 1985 and the band worked in a some tunes, this 01 (ETN) in particular and Dave had some lines and vocal melodies done that Hagar supposedly used on Summer Nights.

I guess there are some old threads here about these unreleased stuff. Right now, I only remember this one here:

    https://www.vhlinks.com/vbforums/thr...Baritone-Slide
"The reason so many billionaires want to go to space is because guillotines need gravity to function!"

"Não é surpresa pra mim, Você começou pelo fim. Não me comove o pranto de quem é ruim, e assim."

"Tudo pertence a quem tudo produz." "A realidade só é possível graças ao trabalho, e quem trabalha é o proletariado."

Time zones are weird: It's 01PM in Finland, it's 05AM in Mexico. And it's 1930s Germany in the US.

    Shocker.

I cant imagine not wanting to hear any unreleased VH material, regardless of singer.

If it were leftover 6 pack tracks then hell yeah but not more unheard shitty bootleg sounding demos from 1975. No. We got a TON of shit from the Dave years. I Want Some Action? That's it?

I can see that, but I was just assuming we were talking about unreleased studio tracks.

The band was simply more prolific in their early years, therefore more unreleased tunes.

I don't think VH is the only band that falls into that description. The Stones are still releasing songs that they recorded in the early 70's that didn't make the cut, but I doubt there is too much unused material from 2015.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

A man's rights rests in three boxes: the ballot box, the jury box, and the cartridge box

Hurricane Halen - Let's all gingery touch our sword tips!!!

It is amazing how much incredible material the original band wrote in a short period of time, before they were signed.

I suspect there's some confusion regarding "Out of the Ether". On the Japanese version of Marching To Mars, Sammy released the instrumental "Ether" as an intro to "Wash Me Down Again".

Are these two songs the same?

No that's just like a minute-long instrumental (is it even that?) before WMD. I think Sammy just like the word "Ether" since it was unused and felt it fit that instrumental or whatever the fuck.

I remember "I Remember" but don't remember where I saw it. Probably The Inside or some rock mag at the time. I'm pretty sure the Van Halen Encylopedia mentions it too.
