I'm guessing Luzier recognized the music. Like when TBOBW came out he listened to UFB and made the connection, assuming he heard Dave's version earlier.

I don't really get the problem with the UFB lyrics, Sam's lyrics are always tongue in cheek. Using food as a metaphor for sex I guess some find cringey, personally I prefer it to completely literal lyrics like "Slip and slide, push it in, the bitch sure got the rhythm".

honestly with UFB I think sam just wanted to get the fuck out of 5150. I think the situation got so bad he just called it a day. Not saying it was right or an excuse but I think that's what was going on. sam should have never agreed to recording anything with the condition Ed was in.....and the tour should have never happened

I generally don't have any problems with his lyrics on any of the VH stuff. And I know it's sacrilege to say but I find many of Dave's lyrics annoying as opposed to cool and clever as many find them. An exception for Sam might be some of his stream of consciousness type lyrics on "Feelin," seem really forced. That being said, he could have thrown a food metaphor in that chorus but cream-coffee, butter-biscuit, cherries-bananas...it's just too much. The first time I head it, I was like "oh boy."

Sam doesn't start singing about fruit until the 1:20 mark..... the song is great up til then and it's really only 4 lines of the song that creates the mess.
He's said before he just didn't have anything else at the time and they just went with it. just a little more effort on the chorus and the song is great.

I still like it. it rocks

I'm sorry, this is the songwriting of a sophmore in high school. I love Sam, buy his stuff, go to his shows, but this is simply God awful. And coming from an old guy, it's borderline creepy.

    Well!
She treat me like a personal Jesus
Got the hand...put it where its gonna heal ya
Got the finger...put it right there on the trigger
Well, pump it up, pump it up
    Baby make it bigger

    Well... Im Going crazy
Pumping it up, pumping it up
    (ewww ohhh ya)
    It's gonna heal ya

She put the cream in my coffee (first thing in the morning)
Put that butter on my biscuit (honeydew my melons)
Cherries on bananas (gonna need a second helpin')
You know I'm up for breakfast so early in the morning

Lock the front ...Leave the back door open
Hot tub loosen up ...baby been soaking
    Been tokin'...been sippin'
Slip slide slippin ... all got me tripping

    Well... Im Going crazy
Keeping it up... pumping it up, pumping it up
    Ain't gonna kill ya

She put the cream in my coffee (first thing in the morning)
Spread that butter on my biscuit (honeydew my melon)
Put berries on bananas (I need a second helping)
That's why I'm up for breakfast so early in the morning

    Wake me up babe
Hold me up, wake me up... Gotta get up, gotta get up, gotta get up, gotta get up
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.
