Unless you are in the inner circle and know where to look once inside 5150, I seriously doubt you have any more access to unreleased tunes than anyone here. I noticed you are a little new, we have some pretty connected people on the links. I would be more than happy for you to prove me wrong by posting "Between Us Two" or something from the 2000 sessions or better yet, the entire follow up to ADKOT.

    That song is fucking embarassing.
With all the food-y lyrics Dave was throwing out a few years earlier (steak and potatotes, fortune cookies, pizza pies), he may have wrote "Down for Dinner."

But, yeah, it would've still been better than Sam's version.

Eyes Of The Night is badass

Believe Me is another early classic

I remember stumbling on a website, must be around 2000/2001. I think the site address had vh or vanhalen in it...it was a bright green page, and the only thing on it was 2 audio clips that worked in RealPlayer. one was an audio file of I Wanna Be Your Lover, and the was audio of Eyes Of The Night. that was the entire website! ring any bells for anyone?

No shit? When did he say that? There was an interview with him around the time ADKOT came out where he mentioned them messing around with "Tattoo" and STW in '00-'01.

I think you might be thinking of Michael Anthony's inteview with Burnn magazine. He has the demo's from VH's 2000/01 sessions with DLR that didn't pan out.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

He said it backstage to me personally on February 27th 2004 on the DLR Band UK tour.

As an aside, Ray, Toshi and whoever the bassist was, were all real stand up guys.

    B Young, not so much.

It looked and sounded like this:

Good to know, thanks! Would have loved to hear what Roth could bring to that awesome groove.

I met those guys the year before in Mount Pleasant, MI and met Ray in '00. ALMOST met Dave in '03 as well, by a hair. It was in Verona, NY at a casino. After the show he was walking into the "discosubmarine" but only met with the first 2 in line waiting. I was like #4 or #5!!!!!!!

How would DLR know he worked on the music for Up for breakfast that early in 2004?
The album wasn't even released til that summer or the song itself.
I can imagine he was in the loop for the best of both worlds but would they give him the new songs too? and why
