    He was lying.

He was an alcoholic, drug addicted mess at the time, you really can't put any legitimacy to what he said during that period.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

    Glitter

Maybe VH's first recording that has made it out to the masses? This is reported to be 1973, they might have still been Mammoth at this stage of the game, and Mark Stone was definitely still the bass player.

    Act Like it Hurts

Not sure how they never finalized this one. Back when they still let Mike play something besides riding the root.

    This is killer.

I found this on CD at now defunct Middle Earth records in Downey, CA during the summer of 1996 and immediately loved Act Like It Hurts ...

"It's so lonely at the top because it's so crowded at the bottom" - Diamond David Lee Roth

"The truth sounds like hate to those who hate the truth" - Todd Wagner

"Women and Children First ... The REAL Van Halen III"

They did use part of it for House Of Pain.

I listened to it again today and it isn't exactly the same, but it definitely was the blueprint.

Had to have something to replace Dave original part from HOP in which he is vaping Gene Simmons..."this house of...PAINNNNNN".

The instrumental wouldve fit perfectly on WACF. It's such a bummer they made all the six pack albums so short. They couldve easily added a track or two to each album and still been under 40 min.

Or at least on any one of the remaster releases maybe throw the hardcore fans a bone and include stuff like this as bonus tracks. Oh well, we're just pissin in a strong wind here.

Dave worked on what became 'Up For Breakfast' in the 2000 sessions.

I guarantee that whatever lyrical treatment DLR came up with, it was better than Sam's.

    That song is fucking embarassing.
