NGD! Eastman T486

I decided to get myself a college graduation gift after I sold my vehicle. I only had 1 criteria: it had to be completely different than any other guitar I own. I've been listening to a lot of Rush/Alex Lifeson lately, so I went with a semi-hollow.

This things plays and sounds great. Its got a Duncan 59 in the bridge and a Duncan Jazz in the neck, an ebony fretboard, a nitro finish, and a gorgeous flame maple front/back/sides. Even the neck has some figuring.

Well, my two favorite guitar players who use the ES-335 family are Eric Clapton and Alex Lifeson. It definitely influenced my decision

If you end up getting a T486, definitely play it first. The store I went to had this one and two T386s and I tried all three out. It took me about ten minutes to narrow it down to two, and another 30 to decide on this one. They're all so well built it takes a while to figure out which responds to the way you play.

I learned on a beat up Kent, so, I became kinda biased towards hollow bodies. I wanted a strat but I had this piece of junk, sorta thing. But the last decade I've heard quite a few nice ones. The tones they get are amazing. Yours sounds great, as well. Congrats!

Brody VH - congrats - I have had my T486 for a couple years and it is an super guitar and a lot more cost effective than a 335. I bet you are going to love this one more and more,
